Positive Reset Coaching

Have You Been
Thinking About
Your Drinking?

Falling Out Of Cabs…

You’re doing ok… You aren’t hiding bottles in the washing machine, or squirreling them away behind the speakers. So you fall out of cabs a couple of times a year, lose your keys, and usually say a few things you shouldn’t after a night on the lash. That’s not so bad, right?

‘Normal Drinking’ creeps up on us as the years go by. It can become such a part of our lives that the idea of being without it is inconceivable. That’s a sobering thought.

  • Have you ever felt that drinking is no longer a treat, but a necessity?
  • Is booze affecting your sleep? Keep waking up in the night with a headache?
  • Have you felt guilt or shame around your kids as you struggle with the day?
  • Are your hangovers less funny, more painful and lasting longer?

You don’t have to hit rock bottom to wonder if This Much is Too Much.

And you don’t have to Quit Forever.

You just have to be Curious.

Positive Reset Coaching is a safe, confidential space to discuss and explore your relationship with alcohol, the effects it is having on your life right now, and the possibilities of a change.

There is no judgement, and there is no pressure to quit drinking. Just a place to be honest and authentic. We talk it out, and we tidy it up.

It’s about helping you feel better, sleep deeper, live clearer—and discover what life can feel like with fewer hangovers, less fog and more presence.

Clicking RIGHT HERE could be the best thing you’ve ever done.

About Coaching

Coaching is the process of helping people unlock their potential to maximise their performance. In our case, that performance refers to a readjustment of the relationship with alcohol, and the subsequent life transformations that can then take place.

Coaching is based on the concepts of overcoming limiting self-beliefs (“I’ll never be able to do that”), creating a growth mindset (“I can do that, and I will”), increasing confidence and resilience, and building a plan for an improved future.

As an alcohol free performance coach, my job is to listen to you completely, attentively and without judgement. I’ll ask incisive questions that will move you forward to a place where a new direction becomes clear.  It is a solution focused, client led process, that will enable you to move away from feeling ‘stuck’, and instill in you a new and fresh outlook on life.

My Story.

I was a boozy mess. But I was so damned good at it.

Drinking wine was my superpower, and my identity was drenched in the stuff.

One evening, Summer 2022, I was sitting by a pool in Greece. My family had just gone up to bed, and my 12 year old daughter had asked me not to drink any more. I defensively said I would not (as you always do when questioned).

That left me all alone. Well…me and a concealed bottle of wine.

As I started to demolish it, I looked up at the house to see Daisy watching me from an upstairs window. With a look of resigned sadness on her face, her head dropped and she turned and walked away.

I was in my 50’s, but drinking like a 20-something. Fitness fading, overweight and without any true feeling of purpose. Worse than that, I felt that I was failing my children as a role model, and it was all down to booze.

For the next few months I threw myself into self education about alcohol – learning about it from all angles. I read books, I listened to podcasts, I joined online groups. I found community. Finally I asked my daughter to witness my last ever glass of wine.

By the end of the year I had lost 3 stone, and was exercising regularly. My dog walks became longer, my guitar playing better. In fact everything seemed better. I had pride in my achievement and retrieved a sense of self worth that had long since vanished. With this came good sleep, and a calmer, happier me.

Three months into my sobriety I lost my brother to pancreatic cancer. Quitting alcohol doesn’t stop the bad stuff happening, that was clear. But I was so grateful for the clarity of mind that enabled me to grieve his loss fully and authentically, without diversion or distraction.

I’ve truly ‘lived alcohol’ but I got myself unstuck. I’ve seen both sides of it.

I am now a fully qualified Performance Coach specialising in Alcohol Free Development and Positive Psychology. My qualifications are accredited by the ICF (International Coaching Federation), and the AC (Association for Coaching).

I’m not a clever guy in a white coat, and whilst I have a few letters after my name, certainly not enough to intimidate anyone. I love loud music and quiet chats, walking my dogs and mountain biking, snowboarding in powder, paddleboarding in the sunshine and all things sofa and boxset.

I apologise for the lack of library photographs of gently waving cornfields, beach-yoga silhouettes and turquoise crystals. That’s just not me. For the record, I also have no desire to jump out of an aeroplane or go rock climbing even though I no longer drink. I still swear and I still like pubs.

Press the orange button and let’s talk it through. I look forward to hearing from you!
